We have a 2008 Conway folding camper in canvas. To our horror, when we put it up to air today there was a small tear in the door canvas. I wonder if it got jammed in the folding mechanism last time we put it away...
Does anyone have any recommendations as to how best to repair it and stop the tear getting worse? Recommendations of actual products/kits would be helpful, if this is allowed. Thank you.

Great stuff Tenacious tape! We had a small hole in our canvas and we put a piece of tape on both sides of it. Never had to re-do it’s been 6 years.

Make sure to round off any corners on the patch you put on.

Hi.

I use Gorilla Tape Crystal Clear. Lots of places sell it including Halfords but I found it cheapest in either Toolstation or Screwfix if you've got one nearby. I've found it as good as Tenacious Tape but cheaper.

As others have said make sure you round off the edges & apply it both sides. Cut the tape larger than the tear in order to stop it "running". Follow the Gorilla tape instructions on the packaging & you shouldn't go wrong. I found that it was easier to rub it aggressively (as instructions say!) if someone else was holding something hard (like a hardback book) pressed up against the other side of the area you were repairing.

Hope this helps.

Deb x
