We were in an air tent and found out about folding campers. Instantly wanted one so found this one. Got her for £800. New canvas and awning. Otherwise needs minor tlc and I’ll add led lights and some other comforts

I’m unsure of exact year but thinking a mk2

Yeh. Going tomorrow local for a weekend then a week in Wales with the kids and then the awning up too. Proper trial. No built in ability to even connect electric hook up from what I can see so going to take the tent ehu unit

I've got a Pathfinder. I (we, my daughters and I) love her to bits. Comfort and luxury, but with the canvas of a tent!
Enjoy yours, looks an amazing bargain and will be the source of much fun. x

Does it have any internal lights or a battery compartment on the other side of the unit to the door? If so there might be a hookup socket in the battery locker.

Easiest check, does it have a fridge? If yes it should have hook up socket!

If it has a fridge and water pump it should definitely have a hook up connection!

Can’t see any sign of electric hookup. Luckily I’ve got the tent EHU unit

Unfortunately, it won't. The fridge is, of course, three way, meaning it could be used on gas, and the water pump is 12V.

Back then, the Pullman didn't come with mains as standard, although many were retro fitted, so there is no guarantee you will have an external point. As they were, also, powered from the 12S socket of the car, there was no battery box, either, although, again, some were retro fitted, but not that many. You tent to find most, with a leisure battery, have them under the seats.

Thanks for the info and love your blog. I am going to look into solar power and fitting my own electrics. It has some wiring and battery terminal clamps under the seat

The hook up on that model is on the outside opposite side to the door near the front, You will have to get on your hands and knees to find it its underneath .
