Hi, collecting my just purchased 1999 Pennine Fiesta this weekend. Will have to store on the driveway. Have read from some that a cheap tarpaulin will be fine. Others say that these are not breathable and will cause mould to form. Others say a proper cover (very expensive) is breathable but not waterproof? I'm new to this and a little confused. I will probably store seat covers etc in the loft over winter. Can anyone with experience of storing their camper outside please advise. I assume the transit cover always remains on and the tarp/cover goes over the top of that?
Always stored our Pathfinder in the garden, transit cover then breathable Kampa cover.
We left everything in it and never had an issue.
------------- XVI yes?
As well is two words!
How does a sage know everything about everything? or does he? or does he just think he does?
Remember, if you buy something you bought it, not brought it.
I've had a few Pennine folding campers all stored outside and IMHO it's worth buying the Pennine winter covers. They're much more water resistant and longer lasting than the Kampa ones. I used them winter and summer as they also protect the PVC cover from degradation by sunlight which will make it brittle over time. I used to leave all seating etc in the camper and it was always bone dry inside. You do get some moisture between the PVC and winter cover which I think is condensation. They'll also keep all of your camper nice and clean.

We store ours on the drive all year round, without anything other than the transit cover. We leave it tilted so most water runs off it and We pull back the cover from time to time to give it an airing, but other than than leave it alone.
We have always emptied the cabin of anything soft, after we had a mouse infestation while in storage a few years back. We put boards under the transit cover, so there is pretty much a flat surface. Never had any problems at all.
Hi,
Our folding camper also always stored outside, mattresses & cushions taken out over the winter. Extra layer of silver insulation it came with, transit cover & kampa cover, with football under it to allow water run off. No problems, always dry. Now stored outside in the south of France with the insulation & transit cover, no problems
