Does anyone know the maximum weight the sleeping area /legs will take on a Pennine Aztec? Just bought one but me and hubby aren't the smallest and I'm concerned it'll collapse in the middle of the night! Tia

I don't want to be rude but do you mean in separate beds or both sharing one bed?
If you are talking about sleeping in separate beds surely you can't individually weigh more than 2 average adults?
I repeat, I don't want to appear rude.

Not rude at all, thanks for checking Bramidan! We'll both be in the same bed, the main one, with kids in the bed that converts from the sofa.

Have you tried two normal size adults in a small double? It’s cozy to say the least.. my mrs and I have a bed each and the dog shares which ever bed he feels like each night.
If your children are small, then I’d probably share with a child each.

That's a good idea Darren, hubby is 6 foot 4 so it's going to be 'snug'!

I was worried about the weight when I was looking at FC, we have now got a Pennine Sterling and when I have tried the beds they feel very secure.

There is one one on here on a post about modifications to their camper where they have added a third support to the beds on a camper similar layout to yours, if you do a search for modifications on here you might be able to find out who it was.

Thanks Jon, we've actually got two extra legs being made for us, sadly they won't be ready for our first trip next week. Great to know the beds feel secure.

When we first got our FC we slept in the one bed, soon decided a bed each, makes getting up to use the loo easier! It also gets very warm with two.
Our dog starts on the seat and then usually moves onto the bed.
I think it was Bluesky who first mentioned if it says 4 berth then comfortable for 2, if it says 6 berth then good for 4 in comfort because you always have bits and pieces taking up room.
I do think if you have the legs positioned correctly they must be strong because all the weight should be transferred directly vertically downwards so there is no possibility of flexing or bending.
Having said that when my wife moves about it is noticeable, she is average size but I do call her Jimmy Jumbo! She doesn't read this forum.

Just as well she doesn't Bramidan 😂😂

Think we will find it a bit snug but I'm hoping the kids will gradually move into the under bed tent bit when they're a bit older. Can't be any more snug that a 5 bearth tent... can it?!
