Got a Trigano storage box for my Raclet Quickstop. I have four bolts, four nuts, four washers. No instructions! Does the bolt go in from the top or from underneath? I have put them in from the top but there then isn't enough of the bolt underneath for the nut to grip on to?

The bolt will be the same length if you insert it from underneath. I would put the bolt in from above so that you only have the bolt head protruding in the load space but you obviously need longer bolts.

Rob

PS How are you getting on with the trailer lights?

You don't really need any instructions as it's a straight forward enough job. All you have to do is place the storage box over the 'A' frame where it needs to fit equally each side of the 'A' frame then open the lid and place a heavy weight inside to stop the box moving such as an old battery or a couple of bricks etc. The next stage is to mark the underneath of the box with a marker or pen each side of the 'A' frame members. Remove the weights and box from the 'A' frame then drill the four holes (the same diameter as the bolts) with a WOOD drill through the box base. Apply some masking tape along the top of the two 'A' frame members then carefully place the storage box back into position. Centralise the box again and mark each hole with a ball point pen where the four holes are onto the masking tape then remove the box. The four rings will be evident where the bolts are going to go through the 'A' frame. Drill right through the steel 'A' frame members with a TWIST drill (the same diameter as the bolts) and countersink the underneath to remove any burrs and sharp edges. Place the storage box back onto the 'A' frame and all four holes should then line up. Put the bolts in from the TOP so there is no protrusion from the bolt thread then proceed each bolt with one washer under the bolt head and then the same with one washer under the nut. The bolts you have are obviously not long enough so you need to go to a fastener supplier or a DIY shop and purchase the correct length bolts with corresponding nuts (if the threads are different). Tighten up the 4 nuts and bolts and check the security of the box. Job done!

If it's a hinged lid make sure it's far enough forwards to allow the lid to open fully.
