Hello me, my wife and kids are really thinking of getting a pennine pathfinder 2020 or a caravan we have a pennine fiesta 2006 at the moment and are loving it but I don't feel like it would be warm enough to go away around January time. Has anyone experienced this?
I also want to no what people would pick within a caravan or pennine pathfinder as alot of people on the forums are saying folding camper all the way.

We had FCs (including a Pathfinder and a Crusader) when our kids were young. Also had various caravans and tents over the years.

It's not just about keeping warm when winter camping, it's about drying the canvas when you get home. You have to ensure the canvas is bone dry before packing it away for weeks or months on end, so think about whether you've got space at home to have a pitched camper while it dries out.

If you plan on doing a lot of winter hols, I'd say a van is your best option for staying warm and not having to watch the skies in fear of a wet packup. If you don't mind the extra weight towing and can organise storage, that is.

or you could get a dandy as they are pvc and insulated so solve both issues

As I have already said on another thread or Pathfinder has the latest type of water repellent canvas and will not absorb water, and dries out very quick if the surface gets wet, Any talk about canvas problems is a bit of a red herring or a hang over from years ago. We have been out in snow storms and really cold conditions in our Pathfinder, And have never been cold , the built in blown air heater really puts some heat out, making is feel snug and warm inside.
A modern Pennine camper is equal to a caravan in all respects as far as using them in adverse weather conditions, I cant see how a caravan would have any advantage .A big plus is you would have no worry about towing home in high winds with a Pathfinder.

Now you make this hard as the pennine I have liked the look at for a long time and having a fiesta now we love it but we just wanted something bigger.
The only thing with me is the problem that I haven't got the room to get the camper out to dry out.

Not sure what you mean by getting the camper out. Why would you need to do that.
