Hi new to the group looking for some info. I have a Conway campa chassis. it has a Alko axle and the wheel bearing need replaceing the only information I have is the id tag. the markings are in german. on a oval disc
Ruckm.typ 400 at the top
A 1094 1137 in the middle
Achslast 450 kg on the bottom
Also is the trailer serial number stamped on the id plate stamped on the chassis as well Thanks
The Campa was an early model around the early eighties and I would have thought that it had Indispension suspension units rather than an Alko axle. We had a mid eighties Conway Colt with independent suspension and the wheel bearings were fairly standard bearings which can be found at your local bearing supplier or on ebay etc. The bearing part numbers should be stamped on the bearing eg 44643L 44610.
Thanks Rob. I thought of date but the trailer was built in 83. I did wonder about bearing numbers but no cross reference to them. I will have to remove one set to see if they have a stamp mark
Ruckm. has defeated my schoolboy language skills, ruck means back but I have no idea what ruckm is an abbreviation of.
Have you tried the Alko website? 1983 fits with a Campa so it looks like my date code idea is totally wrong, perhaps that's just a batch number or similar.
