Ok we have been camping with tents for years now but this year we bought a folding camper with an awning, we've been waiting months to try it out and are now looking at booking somewhere. The concern I have is when booking on line it always asks type of unit, Tent, Caravan or Motor home.
So, do i class myself as Tent or Caravan?
Or have i now become None Unit Specific.

Would like to know how you class yourselves when booking.

I always tell them I'm a folding camper with an awning. They'll usually ask for your dimensions and that's it. Never had a problem.

That's the beauty of a FC - you can be what you want to be. If you want a hard-stading pitch then say you're a caravan. If you'd prefer a grass pitch then say you're a trailer tent.

Agreed.

We always looked at the tariff and decided whether to be a tent or caravan

Just be aware of one point, I wanted to book a site in South Wales but couldn't get in, we found a site nearby.
We visited the original site and in conversation I mentioned I had tried to book but they were full. The response was lucky I didn't get in because they did not accept Folding Campers.
It was near Rhoose.

Just to point out with a folding camper you can also join the caravan and motorhome club.
