Covid allowing we are about to go to Brittany for 10 days. So taking the opportunity to service the trailer. Breaking damper is blown so replaced. Checked brakes and adjusted and while doing noticed the tyres were perished. 135 80 R13 70T.
These have been a pain to locate! Seems online is the only way to get them and most of the UK suppliers are of European origin. I’m running out of time but have managed to find a supplier in London who, fingers crossed will have them tomorrow.
I was going to get the rims sprayed up but in hindsight new steel rims with tyres would have been cheaper. Such a waste in resources but a sign of the times I guess.
Moving forward what’s my options? I guess going for a wider rim but what will fit? The 135s would have been a pain to get off in the side of the road as they did not clear the wheel arch easily.
