AWP has pea (small and rounded) gravels whereas a hardstanding has concrete/large gravels.
I pitched my tent with a plastic/PVC sewn in groundsheet (SIG) with an additional cheapo tarp as additional groundsheet on an AWP in the past at Fforest Fields, and it was great due to really good drainage so the groundsheets were dry when I packed up.
I would recommend to wear close toes and heel shoes though to minimise the pea gravels getting in.
Some tenters had commented about pitching on a hardstanding would be fine with additional protection for the SIG. However, personally, I would not risk it as gravels can be really sharp!

It should in theory be fine on an AWP for the main part of the tent.
The awning if there is one would not be on grass but pea gravels or part and part.
Hopefully the seasoned trailer tenters would come along and confirm soon.

Sorry, I made the wrong assumption without checking.
