Off to Cornwall tomorrow with our Pennine q2+2. Just seen there is another storm forecast tomorrow into Wednesday. We have decided the awning will be staying down until the winds subside but how safe will the main unit be? Which is the best way to pitch for best protection? We have under bed skirts which we will use. Also have been unable to convince my husband that a storm strap would be a good idea for the awning as a safe guard, he always thinks things will be fine and I worry too much but I don't want the damage we may sustain if go out for a day and the winds pick up and then come back to a ruined awning. I don't like wind at the best of times so think will be having sleepless nights!

The storm is coming in from the south west so Cornwall will not be a good place to be

Could you not postpone your start date, doesn't look too good travelling into it, perhaps give it a couple of days?

Well I hope you survived the storms! Over the years we have been through quite a few now. This week with 50 mph peaks and last week at the top of a valley in Cornwall with 60-70 mph gusts. Admittedly we had the storm straps out for that one plus quite a lot of broken sleep.

I have to say however the Trigano Olympee we have just takes it all in its stride often without even guying

All part of the experience
