Hi folks,

I'm new to the site, so apologies if this is covered elsewhere - I couldn't see anything relevant in the recent past.

My wife and I bought a 2nd hand Camplet Classic (5th Gen - 2018) 18 months ago, but due to the pandemic have only had chance to use it once (at our favourite spot in Pembrokeshire).

I'm trying to find out if there are any roof bar feet/fittings (Thule or other) that can slide in to the aluminium t-tracks so that we can use our existing roof bars and roof box on the trailer rather than splashing another £250+ on a custom-built one.

I've tried various internet searches but drawn a blank so far - can anyone help?

Thanks,

Rob

Hi Camperlands have vid on line on how to fit a bike rack to the camplet with brackets that fit in to the aluminium track so maybe you could get some of the brackets then fit roof bars to the brackets in the tracks then fit your roof box to the roof bars, maybe a plan?

Having seen how the bike rack fixes in the video it wouldn't be hard to get a local engineering company to manufacture you some brackets.
If this was my project I would have some stainless countersunk bolts welded through a piece of stainless plate that slides in the track, the thread could be as long as needed and locknuts fitted from the top to hold the roof bars in place. This way you don't have to worry about the bolts screwing down to far and damaging your trailer roof.
Hard to describe my idea in words, but I could let you have a sketch if you need one.

that all makes perfect sense to me, The folding man, and that's a good idea for the brackets
