We tried to pack some stuff in last night table chairs etc. We couldn’t close the lid, we have been told you can put upto 6-8 collapsing storage crates inside, we’ve not put these in.
Have we packed it wrong or will the stuff not fit inside like we’ve been told? We have a roof rack on top already
When we had a FC it took numerous goes to get the stuff packed in so that everything fitted just right.
Just put a bit in at a time to see what it can physically take.
Good luck.

How does a sage know everything about everything? or does he? or does he just think he does?
Remember, if you buy something you bought it, not brought it.
You need to find out the maximum height of equipment which allows it to fold. Then make sure everything is below that height. Our Dandy fold height was 12 inches.
We had a Combi Camp which is another hard top trailer tent and the important thing to remember when packing it up was that you couldn’t put anything within 6 inches of the sides. When it all folds down you need somewhere for the canvas to go hence the space around the edge. Try rearranging your gear so that it is not close to the sides and see if that helps.

Strategic packing is necessary for all camping stuff, whether in vehicles, trailers or trailer tents. A list or some photos on your phone can help, otherwise it's all too easy to forget how the workable arrangement of stuff all fits in successfully!
