Having just bought a 1996 vintage Pennine Pullman 535 this will probably be the first of many posts here ...
For now though my initial query is regarding the water pump - which is missing. I see the socket with the 12V power supply and the water inlet but I have no pump to plug in to it! Where is the best place to start looking to buy one?
Thanks!
On a 1996 model, if it's the original water inlet fitted as standard it's likely to be a Carver Cascade 2 water pump you need but if the inlet has been removed and replaced with a different fitting then it will be a different pump. Do a search for the Carver Crystal 2 water pump, look at the images and see if it looks like a corresponding match to the fitting you need.
Thanks Tango - that looks like it's on the right lines, but I'll check the socket on the side of the trailer to be sure. I'll take (and post) a photo later to add a bit more detail to my original query, and hopefully confirm your ID.
I have a brand new, never been opened or used truma, Crystal Maxi Pump, part number 46100-01, these took the place of the carver cascade pump I believe, I bought it for my 2005 Pennine Pullman but never used it and have since bought a Gobur folding caravan, which unfortunately has a different pump, if you find it is the one you want and you are interested please let me know.
Thanks for that kp I can let you know if I'm interested once I'm sure I know what I'm looking for!
In that vein I took a picture of the socket on the side of the trailer (link below) - does this help anyone with a positive identification? Thanks again!
BTW I'll edit my profile but for the record I'm in Beverley, near Hull, in East Yorkshire UK ...
After some more Googling I think I'm looking at a Whale Watermaster system ...
So ... if that's the case, was there ever only one Whale Watermaster model - or did it go through any (incompatible) model variants? Basically - if I get a Whale Watermaster pump, from wherever I can find one, can I be confident that it will fit/work?
Yes, that looks very much like a Whale Watermaster external pump socket, you can just see the little 12 volt brass connectors at each side to power it up. (they may need a slight clean to make a good connection)
Thanks all - feeling a bit of a numpty cos tonight, after dinner, I had a rummage to the back of the last locker (where I'd been told, by the last owner, that the awning poles where) and there - wrapped up in an old plastic carrier bag - was the missing pump!
Thanks for all your help/suggestions ...
