Hi all I'm new to the site
We have recently purchased our first folding camper which seems to have a shrunken canvas and holes where the frame meets the canvas at the corners which we knew about when we got it.
My question is can you just swap the canvas for a new one of any brand or does it have to be the same brand its a trigano randger 575tc by the way.
The other half would prefer if we could get a acrylic one to fit if possible.
All help much appreciated
I would have to say that the only canvas that would fit your Trigano randger 575tc is a trigano Randger 575tc canvas as every brand of FC are different
------------- Beer is the answer...
but i can't remember the question !!!
A picture would be useful
The canvas can shrinks when it gets wet and eventually tends to set in that shape. If it was regularly badly erected with the poles on a single piece of canvas (like on the walls) rather than a double piece of canvas (like on the roof where the poles sit) and it set like that they might of made the holes in the corners
When its dry and sunny (and ideally nice and warm) the frame and pegging can be adjusted to stretch the canvas out properly. If necessary pulling the poles into position from the inside and tying them together in that position
I've had canvas patches (about 30cm square) sewn over the corners at a tent repairers in Netherlands for about £50 per corner
Thanks for your replies we have managed to source and swap the canvas now, we got one off a trigano randger 575lx.
Perfect fit straight swap took just under an hour to complete
