Hopefully someone can help ☺️ looking at downsizing our Conway royale, we want pram hood style with choice of optional awning. We looked at camplet but way out of our price range and lots don't have an additional awning! So we are now down to an inesca marbella or comanche Kenya unless anyone has any other suggestions. Does anyone know if the sizes of the Marbella and Kenya are the same/similar? I can find the measurement for Kenya online but no info on the Marbella that I can see, after emailing Comanche in Spain they've said maybe a UK supplier in September 👍 as this would be our preference ...newer unit and parts still available! We were thinking buy an inesca keep for few years when hopefully more 2nd hand Kenyas for sale when we need to upgrade again however don't want to buy the inesca to find it's smaller than the measurements I have for the Kenya. I think we've been spoilt with the size of our Conway 🤣...or if anyone has the Kenya for sale in good condition I'm willing to travel (and even wait til end of season as we have our existing one for now!)

I would suggest you think about a dandy. Yu can get them for not much money and they last for years. They use PVC instead of canvas so can be put away wet with no need to dry them out when you get home. Also cool in summer and warm in winter so suitable for all year round use if you want to.

A range of sizes starting with the dart which is a 4 foot x 6 foot trailer providing 2 double beds, a bench, a good kitchen with cooker and sink. One bed converts to a comfy settee.

This link shows a video of a designer which is 6 feet x 6 feet trailer but with a table etc inside as well.

Thank you, I'll take a look. We tend not to use our kitchen unit currently so it's a hefty weight to lift off the trailer for a clutter gatherer whilst away (we use seperate facilities outside) but if it's inbuilt more like a folding camper it might be used more. Should have said it's two adults a 16 year old and our season starts at Easter and ends at the medieval markets in Ludlow at the end of November so the Pvc could be a bonus!

You have to lift the top tier of the kitchen containing the cooker and sink when erecting and dropping the camper. It has to store on the floor or on a seat bas depending on which model you use. It is quite heavy but no distance to move it.

This site will give you lots of info on the various models and you can pay several thousand or a few hundred or anywhere in between.

There are several different versions available on Facebook marketplace at the moment and some on eBay too. Have a look at the website Navver has shown you (they used to make them and are now the only "dealer"). We used to have a Trigano trailer tent. It was fab but I am a convert to the Dandy cause. Beware, though, because -as my children will attest - it is very easy to become a Dandy nerd very quickly!

I'm becoming addicted to looking at all of the models...the turquoise one is currently my favourite 🤣 my 16 year old daughter is mortified that I may purchase one, her initial excitement of a new tent has turned into "the one we have is fine mum" ...the whole insulation, cooler when warm, warmer when cool and pvc rather than canvas is selling it to me, plus those seats look very comfy! Now I just need to convince the rest of the family ☺️

You'll be pleased to know this evening I became a proud owner of a dandy designer complete with awning, side skirts and all inners...can't wait to use it now! Any pointers for first time dandy owners would be appreciated!

Congratulations on your new purchase.

It would probably be best to start a new topic re the Dandy.

XVI yes?

As well is two words!
How does a sage know everything about everything? or does he? or does he just think he does?
Remember, if you buy something you bought it, not brought it.

Congratulations. I posted a fair bit of help for Bede here. Might be worth a read.

https://www.ukcampsite.co.uk/chatter/display_topic_threads.asp?ForumID=10&TopicID=........

Presumably you've bought it but not been shown how to erect it etc.

I think Bluexpos advice re starting a new thread with dandy in the title would be really wise so its easy for others to find and follow.
