I have used an ordinary battery charger to charge a cars AGM battery with no problems. The only concern I would have is that if the towing vehicle has a AGM battery and a second AGM battery is connected to it ,The alternator could have a very short life.

I have to say that I am in total agreement. Likewise the fridge.
The charging systems on most motor vehicles are only just up to the task ,and have very little spare capacity. Modern smart system alternators are incredibly expensive to replace after being damaged through overload.

Hi, I don't know if I'm in the right section as I am new to forums, however, I have acquired a 1996 Pennine fiesta folding camper with no leisure battery, can anyone tell me if I need one and what for, sorry for ignorance like I said I'm new to all this, many thanks Lyn
