Nope…. Bit weird, TBH…
And to the OP, it’s off your topic but No I’ve not been to that site on Loch Linnhe; there will be reviews on UKCS. Good restaurant at the Holly Tree Hotel on the Loch side, the seafood platter is amazing.
It's a tricky one, isn't it? Most campsite online booking forms don't seem to have a 'Folding Camper' category.
I think it depends on what options you are given and what policies are in force at the site. The most obvious substitute is a Trailer Tent, but some booking forms don't have that category either.
When we were looking for a site for a 'shakedown cruise' for the Countryman we bought in September, I ended up phoning the 2 sites that we were interested in. The first did not take tents - but were happy to take our Camper. The second (that we ended up using) did not take caravans (not licenced, they said) but again were fine with the Camper.
Even this website's search facility doesn't have a category, but I guess that would be impossible because the campsites mostly don't have the category.
On the plus side, a Folding Camper is going to be accepted almost everywhere!
If it is a structure designed or adapted for human habitation that is capable of being moved from one place to another then it falls into the legal definition of a caravan

So by that definition, that's what a TT or FC falls in to.
------------- XVI yes?
As well is two words!
How does a sage know everything about everything? or does he? or does he just think he does?
Remember, if you buy something you bought it, not brought it.
The definition of a tent is a canvas/material cover supported by poles/supports which is pegged in a fixed position, as a trailer tent is pegged out, as such ,it differs slightly from a folding camper.
In France a trailer tent a folding camper as well as the rigid folding caravans are all classed as folding caravans.

A caravan is a caravan regardless of whether it can fold, but a folding camper is a different matter.
Yes sorry, I misread the question and thought the OP was asking about Folding Campers. My excuse is that this was in the Trailer Tents and Folding Campers forum.

I agree, a Folding Caravan is a still a Caravan.
I think you answered the question correctly. And you're right, a folding camper is usually classified as a folding caravan but can pass as a tent, as and when required.
