Hi, can anyone help me locate a leisure battery for a Conway Countryman? So far the only battery I can find that’ll fit the compartment is a car battery.
I’ll not be doing much wild camping. So maybe this won’t matter? Just trying to do things by the book!

Firstly, we don't know what the battery size needs to be as you haven't identified your unit age/model etc. so we can check dimensions, nor given us locker dimensions! You've left us a bit clueless to be able to assist you!

Car batteries are not really best suited to leisure use, the construction and performance differences between car and leisure batteries are significant, a car battery will almost certainly not last anywhere near as long as a proper leisure battery and may be a poor purchase choice, needing replacement in only a year or two.

It's unlikely that there is not a Leisure battery available to fit your unit, as they come in significant range of physical sizes and capacities.

Come back to us with some more details like battery/locker dimensions and likely we can give you definitive leads to a supplier.

You will need it to operate anything 12v in your camper.

85amp seems to be popular for the Countryman.

L 240 x W175 x H 200 mm
Handbook says 75 - 130 ah

well you already have the info you need! the amp hours all depends on what type of camping you do, off grid needs the largest amount, always on hook up save your money and buy a 75 amp hour battery, so long as the battery doesnt exceed the measurements you will be fine

With the dimensions you have given, even the smallest (75A) Leisure battery won't fit! So I see why you say only car batteries fit!

That's a very odd situation when Conway claim 75-130Ah suitable! Batteries are manufactured to standard dimensions and haven't changed in decades.

Now beginning to wonder if your battery compartment is standard OEM fit, or has been altered/replaced!

Battery megastore do a hankook SA55020 50ah which measures 207x174x190 if you are going on sites on electric hook up that would probably do you, you maybe could check the internal dimension of your box as there are a few I have seen that are 242mm in length with a larger ah
