Hi,
I am considering whether to purchase a porch awning for my TT.
Only thing is, I don’t know where to start, can anyone advise me please?
Most of the awnings I’ve seen have been ones with an attachment to a rail on a caravan, is there a specific one to look for?
I’m going away at the end of the month and will unpack the sun canopy and the remaining poles for it to see if I can get replacement roof support poles in order to be able to use it.

As we are hoping to be able to use the TT for a few more years and we now have a baby in the family I was thinking that a porch awning might offer better space as we take our 3 dogs with us too.
All suggestions and advice gratefully received

Thanks for your reply, I’m looking to get a Conway TT canvas awning to adapt to extend the living area.
Looking at the diagrams https://www.conwayowners.org.uk/models.html there aren’t any other the same width anyway so that’s one idea struck off.

I guess a possibility might be a freestanding drive away awning for a small camper van (like a VW) might stand alongside the TT with the tunnel connection either thrown over the TT roof and pegged down or threaded inside at roof level, perhaps tied to the roof poles.

Not completely part of the TT but reasonably watertight.

Do you mean you've got a Clipper with direct-to-cabin sun canopy, but want an awning to got between the two?

I suspect you're on a hiding to nothing; the Clipper is an old model now and awnings are model specific as the zip type and length need to be compatible.

You could try Tent Valeting Services in Bolton, they might be able to help but the cost of a new TT awning is likely to be prohibitive it might be more cost-effective to sell the Clipper and buy a decent TT with awning included.

Ooh, couldn’t get the link to open, did a new awning work out ok, or did you buy a new tt?

I bought another TT which had been adapted by previous owner with an additional front section added to the standard size clipper. This one has the kitchen extension on the side with was perfect fit for the cooker and stands. So it gives double the floor space plus the additional area for kitchen.
We have just spent a few nights away in it and it was watertight-as typically we had rain in Wales! Perfect test conditions, warm, windy, rainy!
