Can anyone provide guidance or instruction on how to put my Camplet Passion away without damaging the poles please?
I unfortunately bought my Camplet Passion on EBay. I saved 3000 but had no instruction on set up and put down. The Isabella videos are atrocious but there are others which are better however, I put it up just after purchase to prove ok, then again today prior to actually going on holiday to discover damage to two connectors. I assume this occurred because we had difficulty closing it down after erection, same again today. Worried that Ill get the damage repaired and then repeat! Thanks for any assistance.
ok we had a trigano randger, which was the same type of trailer tent, very easy to put up.
1. level the trailer, then once level open the top and put the legs down so they are holding the top level when you lift the lid over 180 degrees
2. go to the end nearest the tow bar and reach in to get hold of the poles, on the trigano there was a bit that slide across and joined the poles.
3 pull the canvas pulling everything with it until the canvas on the front reaches the ground. then go inside the trailer and slide the poles pushing then back of the canvas out and upwards at the same time, ours had a strap so you knew when it was done enough, do the same with the front.
now if you where touring and doing a quick get away in the morning then you just needed to put a few pegs in the corners and everything would then stay put, if your staying longer you put the roof poles/legs into position and peg fully
Thank you both, the putting up we have achieved it now, but what did I do wrong to damage two connectors (rivets?) and twist the metal which slides up and down vertical rod to extend snd push roof up and out, when puttting away that most concerns me. Only discovered yesterday, Sunday 14 May and will call Camperlands this morning.
I realise this is a post from last year but I just wondered if the OP or anyone else has managed to get the problem with the twisted connectors and popped rivets on the camplet passion sorted as I have a one I bought secondhand that has the same issue as described one side. Can anyone help or have an idea on this as seems a common issue.
Hello. I was lucky in that Isabella as a company helped out with the repair, because they come to a site near us with their equipment on. The chap showed me how to pull the tent up or down (as required) along the runners that it is secured to. You do have to be quite brutal with it. With the tent in the right place it made it easier to get the poles etc in the right place. If you contact Isabella they may be in a position to help, whether you go to them or vice versa. I hope you get it resolved.
Thanks so much for the reply just out of interest did they repair the connectors that twisted or just the rivets or did you have another company fix. Thanks again
