Hey peeps. 😊We’re going to some sites with no power. Fridge is sorted as we’re gonna use a gas fridge. My question is can anyone recommend a solar power pack that will charge phones, tablets and possibly a 12v tv?🤔
That’s soo many on likes of Amazon, that I don’t want to make an expensive mistake ☹️
Any recommendations? If so please send me a link
Thanks peeps 😎

its easy enough to run a cable with a 12v ciggie socket on it to run you other stuff, or you could even put a few proper 12v sockets in the camper. works out far cheaper than buying a "solar charger" which is nothing more than a leisure battery in a plastic case with a socket fitted to it. you would still need to go and buy a solar panel to recharge it anyway
The pic above is a toolbox containing a motorcycle battery and cigarette lighter and USB sockets which I use in emergency for charging phones etc youcould do similar with a leisure battery but will need a strong box for the weight of the battery I also connect a small solar panel to keep the battery topped up but not sure how effective this is.
Size depends on what you want to use it for and how long you want it to last my morcycke battery set up is just for phone and ipod really for a couple of nights any longer stays involve fridges and electric hook ups !
Obviously you will need to keep the battery charged up when not in use to extend battery life I keep mine on a battery conditioner at home but I have classic cars and motorcycles in my garage so it is easy for me to keep everything powered up at home.
a 75 amp/hour battery would give you a decent amount of power from the battery. and a 50 watt solar panel will work well enough to get it recharged when away, but you will need to charge it at home using a decent battery charger. this is all we have had for many years when camping and now do the same when on rallies in the caravan, and we can manage very well for about 10 days or more
