I tried using my shower today, although I had hot water in the tank, when I turned the hot (or the cold) tap nothing came out but the pump was going in the water butt.
I couldnt see where that pumped water was going, nothing leaking anywhere, but it didnt come out the shower.
Is there a problem?? I seem to remember it working ok last time.
I’ve got a 2017 model.
Thanks

how do you know you had water in the tank? on arrival did you bleed the air out the system? or just like far to many do and bung the pipe in the side and in the barrel and because you get cold water out the tap assume that the hot tap will just allow the water into the tank, which it wont because the tank is fulll of air

Can't speak for your outfit specifically, but my caravan takes a while for the air to clear from the pipes, then lots of spluttering, before water emerges, if first use after layup (and draining down of water system).

Pump running depends in your water system, some are pressure sensitive and triggered by drop in pressure when opening a tap, others have a microswitch on the tap that turns pump on directly.

Do you have water hot and cold coming out of other outlets OK?

Yes, hot water from kitchen and bathroom taps.
I did read in the manual about pressure but, sorry to sound clueless, I didn’t really understand it. I did drain the water out of the tank on the last trip so maybe the shower head needed to refill, but I don’t really know what it’s refilling. ??
I seemed to open the taps for long enough for water to come out, but nothing.
Thanks for your reply. Really nice of you to help

(I’m not aware of a micro switch on the pump head).
