Just had to get a new battery. Should the 2 terminals register 12v without the battery fitted. Im getting 0. Checked the fuse in the control box and think I found a fuse in the wiring to battery. Can anyone help. Dont seem to be getting anything to the battery. Cliff.

HI I get 13-14v when the charger is turned on at the battery terminals. Have you got the main fuse board (Sargent 200) turned on (the red switch on the top)?

Firstly, make sure that the MCB hasn't tripped as that will isolate the power to the battery charger. If the MCB has not tripped then you should get a reading with a voltmeter of around 14 volts at the terminals without the battery connected. If you are still receiving no voltage then it is evident that the charger is defective. That's how I detected that my charger had malfunctioned on my previous caravan as I was getting a reading of just 0.2 volts. Once the new charger was installed I tested the power output with a voltmeter first before connecting up the battery which the reading was 14 volts.

Thanks for replies, turned out the new clip on terminals I fitted didn't close tight enough, they were rattling loose when towing. I doubled the wire and touch wood it's working, cheers for your time.
