Hi folks - I have perhaps misguidedly bought a Cabanon Mistral TT not realising that a four-berth-plus full TT with kitchen extension etc is not really what a touring photographer and festival/music event visitor needs, solo at 72. I can move it on my rather deeply gravelled parking courtyard and definitely know I'm lifting one end of almost 400kg and pushing it/hauling it into place. I'll be reselling it to get something smaller, maybe a pod, my car won't take roof tents and my last attempt to car sleep (which it's capable of) fortunately failed (dropped car keys on bar floor) as the car was clearly arctic in temperature in the early hours of a Cheviot morning. But I'd like to get some documentation or manual.

There are at least 4 threads here on this very TT (use the search facility or - easier? - google lists them.) But they’re all old - up to 17 years, and the people that had a manual might not be active here anymore. Worth a look in case someone posted a pdf.
Hopefully someone here still has one & can help you.
And, slightly off topic, there are several threads about car camping, fitting removable boxes for kit, using an EHU cable for tents (with breaker switch plus 3 pin sockets), which would give you a kettle for hot water bottle or electric blanket.

-------------
2024 = 20 sites / 41 nights. 2023 = 9/23. 2022 = 13/35. 2021 = 11/29. 2020 = 4/20. 2019 = 13/35. 2018 = 20/33. 2017 = 10/22. 2016 = 19/33. 2015 = 15 sites / 27 nights. Didn't count 1976 to 2014.

Given that you were attracted by the TT in the first place, have a look at folding campers instead, eg Conway Cruiser or Trigano Randger. All of the benefit but very easily put up, even by one, and no pegging out if you don't use the awning.

Thanks for the tips. I may just end up with a better tent :-) Mostly concerned that I can not move the TT on to lawn to see how it works, so if someone comes to buy I can't even explain what is there and what it does.
