Hi
we bought a trigano tt at the end of last summer and w really nervous about towning, my husband made a botch of trying to reverse our small camping trailer last year so I was really worried about us having to reverse the tt if we got into diffuculties on the roads. So even though my hubby said it was a waste of money and he'd eat his hat if we ever had to reverse the tt he'd just take it off if he needed to, I decided to go on the camping and caravaning manouvoring course at leeds and it was brillient, they explained the safety regulations and the nose weight and matching cars to units in a friendly enviroument and there were 8 complete beginers to towing out of the 12 on the course, then we got down to the manouvouring bit, it was great I really loved it. going back in a straight line is a doddle now, and the left and right turns not bad but could do with a bit more practice to be perfect.
Anyway 2 weeks after the course I took our small trailer to the tip in town and the road I usually come back on was closed due to road works and I didnt notice till it was to late and I turned down there, I thought O MY GOD, but I thought no I can do this and would you believe it I did, I reversed it back round the corner and managed to turn it round YIPEE!!!!!!
Only problem is im going to have to buy my hubby an new hat
So for any body not sure about towing I can really recommend the camping and caravaning manouvouring course's there really worth the money
