Shelley, join the Conway Owners Club, you don't have to have a Conway. It costs £15.00 per year. Then you can insure with their special scheme & get 20% discount. I saved £18.00, so more than covered cost of joining.

If you can't see the light at the end of the tunnel, just keep going till you go round the bend.
Ours went through as a trailer tent even though it says on the policy folding camper. We have insured it once through C&cc club and once through peninne and Richard Keen. Caravan guard also do it link from this site.
------------- Good friends are hard to find, difficult to leave and impossible to forget.
I wondered the same when we got ours but the insurance companies just seem to class FCs as the same as TTs. If they insure TTs and caravans then FCs should not be a problem. Did ours through the C&CC but don't think we'll be renewing the membership this year as we've never bothered with any of their sites. Liked the Big Book of Sites tho'.
only way could get ours covered was by joining c&c club.£100 per year.insurance companies dont seem to recognise what a f.c is.only downside £30 year membership.
We joined penine owners club costs £10 and you can then get a percentage off insurance through Richard Keen ,ours was about £130 which covers it for £6500.
we are also with caravan guard, we are insured for around £4000 and it cost us £82 for a year. if they insure tt then i dont see why they wouldnt insure folding campers as well.
