usually there is a metal plate on the a frame towing bar or near the door area that gives you th info, might be low down nr handbrake??
And welcome to the site, theres quite a few with folding vans on here....
Any pics? You can usually tell the year of an Esterel by features such as windows(glass or plastic),lifting struts(inside or outside),shape of storage box, etc, etc.Have a look at my gallery pics-mine's a 1985 one!

Hiya just found your reply re:esterel caravan viewed your gallery photos and think that you could hold the answers to many of our questions! We have just purchased an esterel caravan and are desperately seeking information about it...by the look of your photos we think that it is the same 'van as yours..have you a handbook..willing to pay postage for a photocopy... or any helpful advice that you could pass on?? We would be grateful for anything!! (judeyjude100athotmail.com)
Thank you very much....that sounds very promising! I will email him as he seems like a guy in the know.... things seem to be coming together. St Austell wow...i went to college there!!
The date and model of your esterel can be found on a small plate about 1" X 1.5" riveted to the axle. The plate on mine (a 1985) is centre front of axle. Mine is a two berth with toilet compartment. I have a handbook which I can copy if you still require one.
Thanks for your offer of a handbook copy...would be gratefully received. We have discovered that our 'van is a 1987 Caramatic but I assume such things as the electrics are all very similar. We are also querying tyre pressures at the moment!!!
Your email address does not seem to work. Can you contact me direct at pete.val45 at tiscali.co.uk . For all sizes of tyre the handbook states a pressure of 2.5bar.
