Any pics? You can usually tell the year of an Esterel by features such as windows(glass or plastic),lifting struts(inside or outside),shape of storage box, etc, etc.Have a look at my gallery pics-mine's a 1985 one!

We have just purchased an esterel caravan and are desperately seeking information about it...by the look of your photos we think that it is the same 'van as yours..have you a handbook..willing to pay postage for a photocopy... or any helpful advice that you could pass on?? We would be grateful for anything!! (judeyjude100athotmail.com)

Hi Superboro

I also have an esterel folding caravan.

I eventually contacted Roger at rvsales who I found out used to work for esterel.

I sent him the vin number and he got back to me the day after with the correct model and year of manufacture a really helpful guy.

the vin plate is situated on the tow frame if you email Roger at admin at rvsales.co.uk with this number he should be able to help you out.

Hi Jude & James

The date and model of your esterel can be found on a small plate about 1" X 1.5" riveted to the axle. The plate on mine (a 1985) is centre front of axle. Mine is a two berth with toilet compartment. I have a handbook which I can copy if you still require one.

Regards Pete

Hi Pete,

Thanks for your offer of a handbook copy...would be gratefully received. We have discovered that our 'van is a 1987 Caramatic but I assume such things as the electrics are all very similar. We are also querying tyre pressures at the moment!!!

If you could e mail me judeyjude100 at hotmail.com we can discuss addresses and payment

Thanks Jude xx

Hi jude,

Your email address does not seem to work. Can you contact me direct at pete.val45 at tiscali.co.uk . For all sizes of tyre the handbook states a pressure of 2.5bar.

Pete
