Hi All,

Looking for some more advice please, just taken delivery of my new Sunncamp 400se put it up in the inlaws garden for the first time yesterday. It comes with those slim wire pegs in two sizes and about 5 heavier duty V shaped pegs. Thing is i know that these wire type pegs bend very easy when you try to get them into hard ground, can anybody recomend a better peg? maybe let me in on what you are using instead of these wire type pegs.

I use steel pegs made like miniature anle iron whiuch came with the unit for the corner guys, but use the wire ones to peg down awnings, plus a few mushroom shaped ones for groundsheets and awning flaps. I've never had much luck with the plastic ones (except the mushrooms). I have found that even wire ones will respond well to a gentle tap from a soft headed hammer like a wooden or rubber mallet.

We now use the Delta Ground Anchors that are advertised on this site.  Certainly for the guy ropes on our camper and awning they are superb.

Used then first at Easter during very high winds and they didn't move an inch.  Highly recommended.
