Decided to erect our new secondhand Sunncamp 350 SE, before going away at the end of the month, We have the main instructions as in how to erectmain part, but not how to erext the poles etc for the awning, have managed to put it up now, but could still do with diagram?????
The diagram is a joke aint it ! put our new Sunncamp 400se for the first time two weeks ago. it took us ages ! I was told a new diagram is proposed and will be available for download from their website very soon.
We have also recently bought a second hand Sunncamp 350se and like you we have no diagram for the awning! Our first attempt took 2 hours to put up the awning (with plenty of arguing about which pole went where!), second time round it took us 2 hours to erect the trailer tent and the awning, so we are getting slightly quicker!
If you do manage to get any instructions please let us know as we could certainly do with a set too!
I got a new 350 and have to say the diagram for the awning wasnt much help. It took me about 2 hrs to put up as well, and thats using the diagram. when putting it away i marked the poles with different colour tape to make it easier the next time.
This has been a gr8 help and ive now got erecting the awning down to 1hr 59 mins. lol.
Thanks to Griv, Becky & Dave you have made us both chuckle, I have emailed Sunnflair hoping to get a response if I do I will post the diagram in my images. anyone with some more anecdotes about putting up a traler tent would be great to read
We have a Sunncamp 250 (with instructions!) and have had it for about 8 years now. We thought we had got erecting the thing down to an art - until last weekend. Hubby, instead of waiting for me to help, went charging ahead and erected the frame, but it was only when we had the canvas over it and tried to add the little poles that hold the front porch bit that we realised that he had the side pieces the wrong way round. Did we remove the canvas, or pull it back so that these pieces couldl be swapped? Of course not - far too sensible. So with 13 year old son and myself trying to hold up the frame and the weight of the canvas, hubby proceded to remove the offending pieces and swap them over. Lets just say that in the heat last weekend, and with my height (or lack of it) there was a lot of giggling and sagging/collapsing of the awning before we finally got it right.
Roll on next weekend when we hopefully pick up our folding caravan instead.
When I erected my 400 SE Trailer Tent the poles were marked by a numbered sticker. In the wet these stickers will come off.
To remedy this I took all poles to work and used a vibrating etcher, similar to those used by engravers, I then etched the numbers permanently, no mopre struggling to find which poles are which.
