Hi all....I live in Irvine, Scotland and I need to find somewhere where I can get a spring loaded pole repaired for my Trigano TT.The spring has stretched and broken. Alternatively, does anyone know if there are repair kits available so that I can replace the damaged spring loaded connector myself? Thanks in advance!
hi is it the metal/steel pole type? we managed to get them when ours stretched in our marechal.do they look like a long spring with a V shape ateither end we had to push ours in with a screwdriver
Hi most camping shops sell the repair kits we got some from Camperlands in Northenden Manchester they have aweb site and do mail order got to put ours in next time we put it up
Repair kits are cheap and readily available, if I were you I would invest in the correct 'tool' as well, it can be done with a screwdriver, but the tool saves on scraped knuckles and is only a couple of quid. I have resprung all the poles in my awning and it makes a world of difference.
Basically, the repair kit is just a box of springs. All you do is cut the original spring and oush it down inside the poles (it won't do any harm), then using the 'tool' you push one end of the spring into one pole (about half way) then push the other end into the joining pole. Job Done. I will add, when you have done one, you will probably want to replace them all.
Hi Paul.....cheers mate I appreciate the info. I have emailed Camperland twice to order these kits but they have not even bothered to reply. So STUFF Camperlands, I will deal with Eglinton. Once again Paul....thanks!
