Hi,
We have been tenters for about 25 years, and have a Coleman family sized tent with electric hook up. It is great but as we get older, a little more comfort is advisable (the bones are rather creaky in the mornings now!) and we are thinking of buying a trailer tent.
It will be mostly just the two of us now, and so we won't want a big one, and I think a secondhand one would be sensible until we are sure this is right for us, so can anyone suggest a smallish/medium sized trailer tent (some appear to be absolutely huge) and also suggest a good place to buy secondhand.
We live in Herefordshire, but as this county is so very rural we are used to travelling fair distances to buy stuff, so anywhere within 100 miles of Hereford or via the internet would be good.
Thanks in advance everyone
Debbie Thomas

Debbie,
Have you considered a folding camper. From the various posts on this forum its quite clear that these are much easier to erect than a TT and you have the optionof using the unit without he awning whereas with a TT if you want the living space you need to erect the awning.
Of course these are more expensive but may be more suitable for your needs. I am sure there will be some foling campers out there who willl be able to give you the benefit of their experience.
good luck in finding what you need
regards

hi debbie,
I moved up from a small tent to a conway contiki trailer tent at the beginning of the season. I bought it second hand for £350.00. I re waterproofed it, (£125.00) but it is really good. It has it's own little kitchen unit as well, so very self contained, we even have a porta potti now for in the night for my 5 year old. From a tent to this, it is luxury, no more bending about, comfy beds, if it rains, there is still room to move about and have a drink!! you will enjoy whatever you get. as previously mentioned Ebay / free adds, barrons (?) go onto the conway and penine website (go on google) or even towsure, www.ukcampsite.co.uk/redirect.asp?redir=http://www.towsure.com have a new one for £2k, very very smart, would like one myself.I think they have a place in southampton, not sure where that is to you. Only problems I have encountered, is that I want to use it now every weekend!!!
