Hi everyone!

Is there anyone out there who can give me some advice?

We are going away in our trailer tent in about 10 days time (very excited!) and have only been out in it for 1 night previously,as you can guess we are very new to camping!

We have the standard Sunncamp TT kitchen with 2 rings, grill and hob as well as a sink with a tap. This might sound like a silly question but how do we get the tap to work? We have an Aquaroll - do we need to fit a pump in this? Also, is it really worth setting this up as running water as we will be going to campsites with washing up facilites?

Any advice greatfully received

Becky.

you will need a submersible pump (towsure) £7.50 a length of hose and a 12 battery, or connect a long length of cable with crocodile clips to the car, it is handy but not essential to have running water we just had a water container over the sink for years and managed fine but the aquaroll is heavy when full, however with running water you will find you use more, dont forget you need a waster water container aswell

I wouldn't bother. We only used the kitchen on ours for cooking.

Only thing my sink gets used for is to put the dishes in while in transit!!!

Washing up bowl or a trip to the sites facilities(your paying for them anyway)suffice for us!!

All that collecting/disposing of water...although not a major job would eat into our "enjoyment time"

And anyway you can always have a good natter with your neighbours at the sinks(if your so inclined to do so!!)

Jelboy.

We have a Whale Tiptoe pump which is foot operated. No power required. Drainage is by gravity.

I agree....don't bother. You will be forever going for water. Just use your kitchen for cooking and use the site washing up area. Just put a water container on your sink top and just take what you need for brews etc. Keep life simple!

Have fun!

Hi again,

Thanks for everyones input.

I think 'Keep life simple' is a good philosophy to follow on this one and I have decided not to bother with hooking up the tap!

Now all I have to worry about before we go away is that we don't forget the mallet again!

Becky.

Becky

We've got a Sunncamp with kitchen. Been away for two weekends and used the grill but not the sink. Not really worth it as site facilities shoule be more than adequate.

Good luck!!
