Hi

Totally new to camping. Just bought a Conway explorer Trailer tent. Its massive.  Does anyone have instructions on how to erect it correctly. We've had a couple of tries but not sure we've got it right.

Hello Conway People!

22I had a "Conway Classic" trailer tent, that was huge as well.

It was quite straightforward to open on site, i believe all conway's are more or less the same setting up, it was the packing up that was a pain!

Why not give Conway a phone call, they are very helpful people, alway's ready to help!

Have fun, and lot's of luck.

STEVE BEARD.

If you contact the Conway Owners Club (their website is http://www.ukcampsite.co.uk/directory2/details.asp?revid=631&typeid=) I believe you can get a copy of the instruction manual through them. Otherwise try your nearest trailer tent dealers - they may know how you can get hold of a manual. Or hold fire and wait for a kind Conway Explorer owner to read your message on here and offer to send you a phtotcopy of his/her setting up instructions!

Good luck. It's quite daunting at first but does get easier. One tip - it's important which bed board you open out/fold in first so we have marked them on the undersides so that we get it right and don't give fellow campers too much to smile at from behind their tent curtains!!!

Hi

Many thanks to all who have made suggestions.

We took the tent to North Wales last week and had a very enjoyable time even if it did pour down on us.  It was the third time we had erected the tent (2 dry runs) each time we are discovering different things about the tentand easier ways of doing things. We're getting There slowly.

ITS A GREAT TENT - Would thoroughly recommend for a family.

Hi Jon &Lisa

if you mean my one it is very strong and in good nik have had to do miner repairs plus gave it a good reproof this year. I bought it last year from the local paper, it is a 1989 conway corniche, dont be put off by the age of tt if it has been looked after will last for ages, as some of the conway owners can vouch for them as old as 20 years old and still going strong. If you want to buy a conway have a look on there web site.
