We have a Conway Cardinal 1988 (bit old now) and love it to bits. Wouldn't swap it for anything else. 2 double beds either end don't need folding up during the day, table collapses down and turns into 3rd double bed if needed. Loads of storage space: under seat cupboards, safe, 3 drawers and 1 cupboard, wardrobe (which we've put shelves in to use instead) and cupboard underneath, 2 cupboards either side of the sink/hob. It doesn't come with a cooker but we take a microwave and small tabletop cooker which we put in the awning on a small table. Has fridge and small freezebox. Has underfloor gas heating but we've never used this, preferring to take a small fan heater. Warm, comfortable and cosy. Easy to tow (can see over top when driving) and easy park up (usually unhitch and roll by hand into place). When putting on the awning, just wind camper up a little, slide in the awning, then continue to wind up rest of camper to full height (put awning poles in after). Saves having to stretch up.

Very well recommended.

cat which of these hard tops is the biggest,eg inside awning that type of thing, cheers

Thank all, We found a tardis last night BUT my brother doesn't like that one :-) He likes the cardinal, it seems to be a better style and design.

Will go look at the other models you mention.

We were born and raised till teenages in Canada and always had camper tents , folding campers etc all around, holidays camps were full of them so I think perhaps that is why he is so attracted to them. Me I prefer the caravan. My olders brother who is back in canada has one also.

i know this is an old thread but the cardinal is the tardis but opposite layout

The Cardinal was actually a newer model of the Tardis. Conway inported the Jayco originally, then copied it to make the Tardis, then put it round the right way for British roads, added a few goodies, and called it the Cardinal.
