I have jsut replaced my Conway with a unit I can put up and down on my own. I am now the proud owner of a combi camp 2000 that I bought from e-bay.
I can see from the way the mattress is split and folds that I should be able to turn the end of the bed into a seat and have a bar that looks like it should be used to do this (I feel it is a little wide though). The man I bought it from had never used this facility and didnt know what the bar was for.
HI......... is that bar made of two pieces of steel pipe ?????, in that case, the thing are supposed to rest at the edge of the side panels.
its hard for me to explain, but the upper pipe shall rest at the steel frame of the CC, and the lower one ,shall be under the steel frame. I have had one of them, but never did use it, I have used one from an older CC model, the 500,,if you don't get any other solutions from other readers send me your mail addr. I shall then try to find some photos I have, a model you can make yourself, but I am going on a trip to Halberstadt in former E. Germany to morrow, friday, and will be away 12-14 days.

Henning or anyone..
Any chance of a photo of this steel bar in the correct position?
Our CC has this bit missing, so we were going to make something up to do the job...but obviously we've no idea where its supposed to be fixed.
We initially though of a wooden board, so I'm intrigued by this mention of a steel bar
The bars are two pieces of pipe that have a piece joining the two at a few inches in from each end. The part could be made from plumbers pipe. Each end of the long tubes have a rubber stopper over the ends to prevent damage to the canvas. HTH

Um, I don't think you made that offer to me, and I'm fairly sure that a poster with the name of Sue would be female...but what the hey *LOL*
Is there no chance you can post the photo(s) here? My combi camp is pitched at the moment as we are using it as a spare guestroom...and I still cannot picture this tube thing, or how it is supposed to be set up.
Best regards
Caroline (also female :) )

HI,,,,,,,,,,,,well I drove all the way home from Halberstadt sunday, so I may have been so tired that I didn't notis that it was a SHE, SUE......In the good old rock and roll days, there was also a tune where the girls name was Sue, could it be Sue??? and there are also the witch ,Sue ,at the TV program ,Dollars ,would that be you SUE. Anyway, I took some pics yesterday of my sofa arrangement, and a model you can make yourself, does'nt cost as a big farmhouse.
