Just wanting to upgrade from a large Raclet tent to a Folding Camper, mainly so I can use it at weekends as well as main holidays (fast to erect/convenient).

I simply need recommendations regarding which make to go for, I have ONLY Conway, Pennine & maybe Trigano in mind.

I know Conway & Pennine are both good & should cause me no grief, but from a technical point of view which make would you go for ?  I understand Conways have very good chassis` and very similar to caravans making them a little more flexible & easier to tow (less likely to `snake`). Can someone `guide me` ?

They are all very simular.  It depends how much you want to spend.  The trigano are cheaper, may be not quite as good as the Pennine, but still good.  I am selling one if you are interested.  Have a good look at the different types and then you will have more idea

We have only just come back to camping as adults and went straight for a folding camper.  We are really pleased with our Pennine Pathway and whilst a little more expensive than the Conway it was only a few small things that made a difference - plus there was one available to buy at the time.

Look at the finishes, the edge of the canvas across the top seems to have extra depth which may help with drafts??  the window inside can be unzipped on the Pennine and I'm not sure if this is the case with the Conway also the windows can be rolled down in bad weather but "propped open" to allow ventilation.  I'm sure there will be plenty of Conway owners putting me straight if I have this wrong.

As for towing, or manouvering manually, both are so easy.  The only problem we have is with the spare will bracket, the lowest point of the framework, which drags slightly on our drive when we take it off or onto the road - but we do have a slight incline.

There are also hard top and canvas top campers.  Our tardis has a wind up roof and a full solid door where the canvas ones have a solid bottomed but fabric topped door that needs zipping.  Trigano tents are comparable to cabanon ones as the canvas is excellent but I do not know about their campers.

Conway and Pennine are made by the same firm so new there is no difference on quality. We prefered the layout on the pennine and so far it has served us well.

The canvas on older Conways is better than Trigano.

I have a 5 year old pennine sterling and at that age range I found the quality of finish was better than on the conways, though this may have changed. Towing is absolutely no problem and I get great pleasure from overtaking caravans, though I probably shouldn't admit that.

get an american coleman pop up camper, hard top roof wind up and all is up within 10 minutes, there is a cooker inside with pumped hot and cold water and a shower as well as a double burner/cooker for the outside. This is by far the best thing I have ever owned a lot better than a trailer tent with all the comforts of a caravan but easier to tow and store.

There is also a king size bed etc the list goes on
