norris, I bought a roofbox and bars for my car the first weekend away. I piled up all the stuff that I planned to take, then realised that I was never going to get it all in the car. A quick trip to Halfords and half an hour later, I had one full-width roofbox. Very handy too, except at Tesco's in Hereford where there is a height restriction for the underground car park ! If only I had known that before hand.....
I have been warned about multi storeys, I'm going to go to a plce in Rotherham in a few weeks, haven't got the cash yet, also look on ebay. I want a long silver sleek looking one, and they are pricey!!!

Norris , I,ve got a FAPA roofbox as long & wide as the car. It cost a fourtune tho !!!! Its very roomy and according to my mate (who slept in it on the way back from a stag weekend) very comfortable !!!!!!!!!! Mind you he is a bit of a short a***e. Good job we did,nt go to tesco,s in Hereford !!!! Regards THUMPER.
P.S I do not condone any childish behavior mentioned in this post.

In our confortmatic we have a cupboard full of games we've never got around to using! We also have a tiny black and white tv that's only been unpacked once so that our 8 yr old didn't miss his sat appointment with Rose Tyler from Dr. Who. There's always something more interesting to do or people to chat to.
My best buy though was our campinggaz kitchen plus 2ring cooker with griddle and fabric cupboard under as many of our trips are car rallies with no EHU!
we took the tv etc because we had three older teenagers with us. Not easy to amuse on a campsite in the rain. I'm happy with a few novels and a nice view, the hubby has a wander to the pub and leaves me in peace but the teenagers. Well, what can I say.
My stepladder - multiple uses - seat, cooking /bbq /drinks /card/bedside table, & of course reaching those hard to reach places when adjusting the awning!! Invaluable!
When we take the awning for longer stays, I take one of those 4 shelf plastic greenhouses as a wardrobe (one shelf each) and the porta potti. When we are only using the cabin, say for short stays, I put the clothes in small holdalls which lay at the bottom of the kids bed, and for night time emergencies, we've got a child's travel potty! (It has a folding plastic frame which you fit the liners on to. The liners consist of a small plastic bag with an absorption pad in the bottom - when you've done your business, you simply remove the bag, tie it up and dispose of it!). We permanently keep on board an electric heater, small 5" tv, small George Forman and the usual pots/pans/crockery etc.
