Don't ask Sean, there are nutters on here that go away for the New Year!!

For me I would say once the kids are back at school or once it's cold enough to need heating all night and some during the day.  I hate being cold.

Mid to late September isn't really late is it.  I can remember many gloriously hot days as late as October.

We went to Brynich last October and took her out in February half term ( because she had just been serviced) We had an electric blanket and were warm as toast even though it literally froze outside. For me its not worth camping once the nights draw in so I would only go to a meet or something special.

The lateest we camped when we had just the tent was late September in Cornwall. We were still sat outside at 11pm as it was glorious.  How late we camp with the FC reamins to be seen.

Hi

We generally get the TT ready for winter storage at the end of September. Once you start to get into October you generally have an issue in drying out canvass etc. Like Neelie I don't like to be cold either.

it all depends on what equipment you have really, if you have ehu then theres no need to worry about the cold, and if you have somewhere you could dry your tent out once home then why stop?

we were booked in the first week in december with the folding camper, now we have the caravan we are still going. looking forward to decorating the caravan with xmas decorations.

We're planning a long weekend over the Bonfire and Fireworks weekend, so I suppose our answer would have to be November!

We bought a smaller version of the household gas heaters and it keeps our awning and FC really warm.

Overnight we use a fan heater and are all warm as toast.

If there's a will there's a way.... and as OH says if the Mrs wants, then we sure as hell better find a way...lol!
