Hi - I have just taken ownership of my new (secondhand) Sunncamp 400se TT. This thing is huge. The only thing is the lack of instructions or handbook.

I have been provided with an A4 sheet of paper that has a diagram of how the poles fit together (very confusing).

Does anyone know if there are more instructions available or if indeed there is a handbook available.

Thanks

Paul/

Hi

Well, tonight was supposed to be my first night out in our new trailer tent. As I didnt get home from work till 5.30pm, the campsite was only 30 minutes away. However, by 9pm we had only just managed to erect the frame and drape the canvas over (admittedly with the help of 6 other campers - THANKYOU). However, as we have a 3 month old, we thought enough was enough for one day and came back home leaving our new (massive) Sunncamp all on its lonesome.

Tommroow morning we will venture back and attempt to complete the tent, only to take it down again on Sunday - however, I would think that now we have done it once, next time will be a breeze(ish).

By the way, has anyone seen the poles diagram for Sunncamp and ever made any sense of it ??? - this has to be the most bizzare set of instructions I have ever seen......

Anyhow, more fun ahead for tommorrow. Thought I'd keep you updated on our saga.

Paul.

Paul, our Cabanon Saturn was just as confusing the first time we took it out. We ended up spending hours (and I do mean hours - got very late as in 11pm, so no food eaten) and we were helped by the site warden plus 3 other couples eventually.
We colour coded the awning poles for the next time by using   electrical tape which did make things easier. Each time you set it up, it will take less and less time. We are off tomorrow for a two week break in the Isle of Wight which will be the TT's 3rd outing: hopefully we will have got the setting up time to under 3 hrs! Or at least we will, if we don't stop to chat with everyone who walks past

Have fun with your TT, you will really enjoy it

Claire

Hope you got on okay with rest of weekend. We had the same trailer tent. Salesman told us it will go up in an hour. Four hours later it was getting dark,we were getting hungry. It did get easier! Colour coding the poles is essential, then write your legend on the pole diagram. Sunncamp provide no instructions to speak of  and you need to expect poles hitting you on the head a lot. Once up it is a superb trailer tent with loads of space. Good luck!
