Hi

We have friends(complete newbies) who are keen to buy aTT. They dont want to spend a fortune incase they feel camping is not for them (very strange!!). They live in Antrim and are having trouble finding anything.

It would need to be a decent size to accomodate 2 adults, a teenager and 3 under 8yrs.

Any suggestions of any good dealers over there or the best place to look.

Karl from Bangor here.

I bought a folding camper through the local paper, Ads for free. I noticed there where a few trailer tents in it aswell. Its probably the same choice in most issues.

It's www.ebay.ie is southern Ireland, all in Euros and postage is horrendous to UK as Northern Ireland is part of the UK our postage is same as UK and much less than it is from Southern Ireland!

Although a TT wouldn't be posted LOL...

The Irish site hasn't been running very long, and very limited in what seems to actually orginate in Ireland.  I think the local Buy and Sell is probably the best idea.

Hi Lorna.

Might they not be better getting hold of a second hand Family frame tent and trying that out first, if they get a canvas one it would be cheaper than buying a TT, once the tent is erected you have the same type of room as TT.

If they really want a TT they could look in the Ads for free magazine, Belfast tele ads, autotrader online just put in your postcode and do a search it will bring up all TT's within 50 miles or so.

I hope they enjoy the great outdoors, and stick at it for at least a couple of months before packing it in lol.

Hi, as far as I can remember, Hagans of Ballyclare had a TT set up in their showroom. Now I might be mistaken but they could give them a call. This would be a new one of course!
