We are gong away to Bakewell for a last weekend before packing everything away.  What's worrying me is, if we put the camper away wet and the weather continues to be wet when we come home.  How long have we got before we need to get it dry?

It's not wet canvas, as such, that will cause you problems - it's a combination of wet canvas and still air.  Even if you cannot get the canvas dry, opening the unit up every 3 days or so for an hour to let some air flow through it will mean you have no worries, even if it takes weeks to get dry!  With the Jayco, if the weather is not good for drying the canvas, just wind the roof up and let the canvas hang free to air - it won't go mouldy if it gets a good airing.

Thanks, we've got the fan heater and the hot water bottles at the ready, but who cares?....We are going away this weekend, yipee!!

when we had our conway cardinal (basically the same as yours) we have come home many times with it wet, getting it dry was never to much of a problem as it ony takes a few minutes to wind it up enough to leave everything hanging, you dont need to pull the bed boards out! i would open it during the day for as long as the weather would allow some times only an hour, and then it would be dry, the awning is a different matter, but we would hang this only the washing line or open up in the greenhouse to dry for a few days.  i was in the habit of opening the door every now and then even in the winter just to get the air moving around and never had a problem with ours, hope this helps
