Wanting to get geared up for next season and wanting an electric fan heater - i have read some trip ehu on sites if over certain wattage or kw rating or whatever.  Can anyone recoomend one that wont.  i want a cheap one that wont burn my tt down and switches off when at certain temp.  Any recomendations please...

It all depends on the sites hook up ampage ie some sites have 5 amp,some 10 and others 16.

It will depend on the site that you go to which will dictate what electrics you can run.

I have had no problems running a 2000w fan heater off of a 10amp hook up with my 3 way fridge running as well

I've got a 3kw fan heater with 2 settings but only use it on 1.5Kw, with the lights, fridge/freezer and laptops (x 2) going at the same time. It was only the kettle that tripped it out (as we found out one evening cooking dinner), so don't use both at the same time. That was at a site with 10amp HU.

Argos usually do a convection thermostaic heater for about £20 or a small oil filled one with a thermostat too for similar. You can get small 2 speed heater with fan for hot wearther too from camping shops for £20-30

We have always used an oil filled radiator which has been fine for us

i got a fan heater from halfords and it was about a tenner. it keeps the tent nice and toasty warm and hasnt tripped on any sites yet.

Ours is just a B&Q cheapie about £10 it has 1kw 2kw and cold. It has a thermostat as well.

You don't have to have the fan on if you don't want to, just use it as a standard convector ( bedtime ), but it helps to push the heat out faster during a chilly day.
