thinking of getting a trailer tent but need it to be quick to pitch. Can someone please tell me the best one to get. Are they warmer than normal tents?
We have two little kids and need quick fun camping.
They are not very quick tp pitch, a lot of pegging involved, Think about a folding camper instead no pegging at all unless you put the awning up. You can be having a cup of tea within ten minute of pulling on to the pitch
Definatly a folder rather than a trailer tent for quickness. Having said that combi camp TT,s open up abit sharpish. There are loads of TT,s & F/C,s out there. Look on the classifieds on this site , Ebay , or even your local rag. The odd gem spings up in mine !!!!!! Good luck THUMPER. P.S Did I mention Dandy F/C,s

Yes the combi camp's literally flip open in seconds and there's no pegging of main unit unless you put awning up and to be honest you'd need awning or a free standing Day Tent sort of thing just for a bit of space with the kids but still worth it as they are so easy!! I do mine on my own with daughter to give it a shove to help close it but that too can be done by one...
Combi-camps and Camplets are the quickest to pitch and after that its the folding campers. If you have kids it's worth looking for something with an awning incase it rains & you need the extra room. As kids only grow you'd also be better off in the long run getting the biggest FC you can afford/store.
We loved our Raclet T T and in the end did have it down to a fine art......... but no it wasn't quick to put up. Ours has a cabin that could be put up on it's own, and then the next day we would put up the awning if needed. Sleeping off the ground however is a great bonus. We are just changing to a folding camper as our T T is toooooooooo big now the children are grown up. In saying that however the T T was excellent value for money, very spacious and great fun and we had no regrets at all about buying it............. Infact I am still very sad that we will not be using it again........ lots of happy memories
We have a Camp-let which is a TT but is quick to pitch. I go camping with two of my children and we manage fine. The kitchen swings out from the trailer, so no heavy lifting involved and it has a fridge, sink with tap & water pump and a two ring cooker. The awning is all in one and opens like a pram hood. Ours was £500 secondhand so I think we got a good buy. I had two offers to buy it at my last UKCS meet by combi camp owners! LOL. You can see them quite often on ebay and they seem to go for bargain prices as not many people seem to have heard of them.
