Tell them in 1992 it wasn't called the Maximum Technically Permitted Laden Mass, it was called the Maximum Authorized Mass, Maximum Laden Mass, Maximum Allowable Weight, Maximum Gross Weight or whatever else the manufacturers could think of. That's why it's been standardised now as the MTPLM.
I agree with Jan, the issue of weight can't really be a problem for them as the standard size mover should shift any folding camper, even the biggest are well within it's limits, but the size of the wheels may prove to be a consideration.
