We are feeling guilty as we see our Pennine Pullman sitting out in the foul weather.
It is perched up on wooden axle stands but it is still getting mucky from the dirt and snow gathers on the top. So I am putting the tarpaulin back over the first day it is dry.
I bought the tarp last year from Screwfix for about £20 and it worked well despite being a bit too big. It covered the sides as well as top and kept everything dry inside but water tended to pool in places. It would also took ages to remove so would deter thieves.
To form a ridge along the top and seperate tarp from cover, I am going to use about 10 empty 2 ltr plastic milk bottles. These I shall string together on a polypropelene rope attached to front and rear so they lift the tarp clear and allow air to circulate and rain to run off.
The tarp also stops rain running down the sides and staining and prevents water getting into the gaps between doors and panels.
