His excuse was that he hadnt checked his email since 10th December and he was sending it out today. Likely story, so a polite but quiet word in his ear did the trick.

I had tried paypal to recover the money but he had closed down his account with them.

Alls well that ends well as they say

Good result fazman. I reckon you must have scared the s---t out of the scumbag. If only there were more like you it would be a warning to the lowlife.

I bought something from Ebay a company called Chinaezone and I got ripped off for £15.00 have spent hours trying to get money back - no chance. Nice result for you though weel done. The whole ethos of ebay is based on trust - without trust you have no ebay - they hopefully should be aware of this.

You know what you should do next. Write to this company and tell them that he might have been nicking stuff from them and to keep an eye out for him. That'll teach the bugger to do that again

Unfortunalely Nick these As**oles live in Japan - I thought I was getting an absolute bargain and  had no time to check his rating. I only had 3 minutes to bid so greed got the better of me. - lifes a bitch sometimes

thats a real shame chalkie. its a shame that they are not in england. I guess i was just lucky that he mentioned he worked for a caravan place and lived in Dudley so it was fairly easy to track him down.

Interesting one this.  He has only had 4 (or 5 if you haven't left any feedback fazman) transactions and two have not been delivered.

I saw that another guy had paid him for a mobile phone and not received it.  Fazman why don't you do that guy a favour and contact him through Ebay and tell him where this TRIGG888 character works.

I reckon you struck really lucky there.   What was the chances of where he worked and where he lived as being the same place?    You should still file a complaint against him as with such low feedback it will serve as a warning to him to clean up his act at the very least.

Do you reckon what he sold you was nicked from his employer?  I can understand if you don't want to report him as you will have to give the thing back, but if later on he gets nicked you may get a visit from the police anyway and then you run the risk of being charged with receiving stolen goods.
