Hi Folks. Does any one know if it's possible to re colour faded canvas. Will waterproofing bring some colour back to it's cheeks. Has anybody tried Revlon?.

                                  Thanks in anticipation, Eddie.

Eddie

Revlon make cosmetics like lipstick and blusher.

I don't know if the new waterproof lipsticks would work but would be very expensive!

Dylon is the dye stuff.

It certainly works the problem is how to 'fix' it as they usually need salt water or ironing.

As the dye opens up the canvas threads you need to waterproof really well afterwards - like three times apparently.

Hi Winhill.---, Silly me, the trade name is Renovo - I'm nearly out of lipstick anyway.

It is for car soft tops and they do it in 3 colours, black blue and brown. They also do a waterproofer / renovator which is supposed to enhance the colour (according to their web site). Does anybody have any info????.

I have seen in my local camping store (Camping international Chatham Kent) that they did a coloured waterproofing, from memory they had green, brown, orange, you may want to check it out, not sure off the top of my head what make it was.

Thanks dazzas, been to their web site store, no mention of colouring canvas. Will maybe spend more time searching the web. Thanks again. Eddie.
