Hi

We are looking at changing from a Conway Trailer Tent to a Folding Caravan.  The one we have looked at tonight is a Paradiso Transcamper.  Does anyone know anything about these and/or have or know where to get instructions for one?

Its style is a little like the folding caravan, with a hard top but pvc sides and awning.

Hope someone can help.  Thanks.

Hi Fiona

Thanks for that.  There's nothing worse than posting a message and getting no response.  Nice to be welcomed to the site.  Thanks.

Hi Lilee

Camperlands at Manchester are the main / only? uk distributer of Transcamper trailer tents. If you give them a ring at the showground and ask to speak to Dominic or John then even if it's not a current model they might have some info on it anyway. We found them really helpful when we were looking round.

Good luck

Hi lilee

the Paradiso is an old German design as far as i can remember

updated by the Dutch and sold under the Transcamper name .

It can sleep 4 I think and has a built in kitchen and beds that can be expanded to sleep more

(bunk beds for kids)

I saw when I was a kid and have seen some here as Transcampers

They usually are white with a flash along the side (older models) or have a two tone stripe

And the canvas is sometimes light brown but most times orange

I may have some links or old photos so drop me a line and I’ll have a look

Hi Kev

Thanks for the advice about Camperlands.  I was actually there a couple of days ago and they had a very old one of these in.  Belonged to one of the staff.  Although he knew the facts about his own, the other staff didn't appear to know much about them.

We bought the one we had seen though and erecting and storing seem very straight forward.  It has bags of room.  Certainly more than we would seem to have got from one of the smaller folding campers.  Tows like a dream too.  Didn't know it was there.

Thanks again for your reply.

Lilee

Hi Classic

Thanks for your reply.  If you can find any links for these campers that would be great.  We have actually bought the one we saw.  Its kind of grey/blue in colour, 1990 and has the name Paradiso Royale on the side and Transcamper on the back.  I looked on the net for Paradiso Transcamper and didn't find anything but I will try again with the Royale part in the search and see if anything comes up.

Thanks for your trouble.

Lilee
