Can any one help with a used price guide for folding campers? I would love to know what price you would expect to pay for them, I have looked at past prices on ebay but that isn't really a guide, as it can go mad if two people want the same one.
Barrons are selling a second hand F/C (2002 model) for nearly £7000 which I think is a crazy price considering it is the same make and model as mine accept that mine is a 2004 model and I'm only asking £4,500 form my really nice unit with lots of extras. I do get annoyed when retailers are not realistic about their prices for second hand stocks.
We visited Highbridge Barrons and RV sales web pages for months to get an idea of prices. The trouble is if you are looking at older FC so much depends on how it has been looked after. Also if you are going "across" from a tent then the extras they are prepared to throw in make a difference whereas we had a caravan so had all the bits and bobs like hookup aquaroll step.
------------- Good friends are hard to find, difficult to leave and impossible to forget.
Barrons prices are way over the top and you can't use them to compare private sales....try looking at preloved.com and adtrader.co.uk or owners sites eg conway
We asked £5000 for our Pathfinder 2001 with extras! Have seen the same year up for £5800 privately. Traders will give as little as possible! Try Castlecroft near Manchester. They sell Pennines/Conways and caravans - they will give you a realistic idea what to pay.
Actually we both have bad backs and while the Unit itself takes no putting up, the awning is a 2 handed job (can you say that??)
We also wanted to extend our camping season, which the caravan with blown air heating will allow us to do and finally this caravan has a shower which means we can stay on sites with limited facilities and not go home smelly!
Well that cofirms what I said bout the price we are asking for our 04 Trigano 575 LX. Barrons are asking £6,250 for an 02 version and we are only asking for £4.500. Sgot to be a good deal for someone.
Personaly I still think they are asking £2000 too much for the 02 model.
Barrons charge crazy prices to their sellers, and offer criminal trade-in to sellers - they offered us no more than £4500 for a 2005 (less than a year old), Pathfinder with everything and a power mover!!!! Needless to say, we went to see our friends John and Steve at Castlecroft!
